BIOMETEQ™
BIOMETEQ™ is a process for the biological polishing op metal containing effluent, using proven moving bed reactor technology. It removes metals from effluents to sub ppm or even ppb levels.

Working principle
The BIOMETEQ™ process consists of bacteria growing on the carrier material of a moving bed bioreactor. The dissolved metal also precipitates on the carrier material. To prevent the bed from clogging, it slowly and continuously circulates through a washing section. This loosens the precipitates, after which they are removed, concentrated or dewatered for further processing.
