Lifelong wastewater treatment with UASB retrofitting
Norske Skog in Halden, Norway operates a 1,500 tonnes per day paper mill with 900 tonnes per day mechanical pulp production from spruce. In 1992 Norske Skog installed an effluent treatment plant that included a BIOPAQ®UASB bioreactor. After 15 years of good performance, the UASB modules were retrofitted by Paques to ensure another long period of good and stable performance.
